Most resealable bags utilize a zip function to maintain an air-tight seal and allow the bag to be re-sealed while the consumer uses the product inside. The Pull-tab zipper helps with increasing bag loading speed by being placed in only one surface of the bag and is commonly used with box bottom bags. Hook and loop zippers are commonly used on very wide reclosable bags (greater than 12" in total opening width) because this style of zipper can seal without being completely lined up as a traditional flange zipper requires.
